We are dedicated to unravelling the intricacies of economic and social challenges in public policies. We have had opportunities to advise a diverse range of clientele comprising government MDAs, private enterprises, individuals, and multinationals, and our seasoned team of public policy conscious lawyers take pride in delivering reliable public policy analysis.
Our Public Policy Practice Group is headed by our Partner, Mr. Seyi Adisa, Esq., a distinguished politician and former legislator in the Oyo State House of Assembly. Under his astute leadership, our team, strategically positioned across our offices in Lagos, Ibadan, and importantly, Abuja, thrives in providing comprehensive analyses that go beyond mere legal considerations of existing or proposed policies. We believe in a comprehensive approach, considering the broader impact on stakeholders, including businesses, individuals, and society at large.
Our commitment extends beyond reactive analyses; we proactively anticipate policy changes, leveraging our understanding of government decision-making processes. This foresight enables us to offer timely guidance to clients, especially businesses, offering them an opportunity to adapt their operations to impending changes efficiently, thereby saving both time and costs. We had the opportunity to advise a multinational trading company on the potential effects of a proposed government policy aiming to prohibit scrap metal exportation. Our guidance enabled the company to strategically adjust its business approach regarding scrap metals. During this process, we collaborated with scrap metal dealer pressure groups to assess the policy’s impact on their operations.
As astute public policy analysts, we understand the importance of a robust stakeholder engagement as this offers an opportunity to conduct an impact evaluation of policies from the point of view of affected stakeholders. This enables us to strike a balance between government expectations and the needs of those impacted, ensuring a harmonious and effective implementation of policies.
